MUAY THAI
THE ART OF THE EIGHT LIMBS
Muay Thai is an ancient Thai martial art that dates back over 1000 years to an age when Thai warriors used it to defend their country from Burmese invaders. It is referred to as “The Art of Eight Limbs” - using eight points of contact the body to mimic weapons of war. Thai boxing has been used for centuries to build strength, endurance, power of concentration, and discipline. Stockade Martial Arts is home to professional, amatuer, and recreational Muay Thai fighters.
Our Muay Thai program is open to students from ages 14+ and we tailor the class to each individual, whether their goal is for competition, fitness or hobby. Our instructors have years of experience training men, women, and children at all different levels of experience. Our program is challenging and engaging - focusing on traditional Thai technique - and safe for everyone as they progress in skill level.
For students new to Muay Thai, our beginner classes are structured to allow students to progress at their own pace, without the stress of feeling overwhelmed by more advanced techniques and students. Students
